The Farmers Agri-care Monthly Mug played Saturday 13 March 2021, drew 17 players to the field, and with limited carts available, walking golfers “slogged” it out in the heat. A surprise in the field was the captain of the Matatiele golf club, Bryce Tarr playing off a three handicap – his comments – “a very tight golf course and that placing the ball on your shots to be GPS’ accurate, more that the accuracy of landing on Mars.” However Richards Bay member Hein Lamprecht walked away with the mug. Hein bought  birthday cake to celebrate his birthday. Merwin Rabe started out  like a bat out of hell with birdie, par, birdie, par, par… then the par 5-  sixth hole bit him severly with an eight.

The A division golfers were out in full force and with 4 single handicapped  golfers playing in the mug –  this bodes well for our Tuta Carriers Club Championships to be played on the 10 and 11 April 2021.
