The Greytown Child and youth day care centre golf day, played on Saturday 30 July 2022 drew a small competitive field with some golfers travelling from Mooi River and Greytown. The weather held up but one could feel that there was a weather change hanging in the air.

The golf fixture double dated with the Hermannsburg school athletics day, so a large proportion of regulars were either watching or taking part in the athletics day, however Dieter Meyer could eventually take a longest drive at St Cathryn’s while Mark Scott waited patiently in the clubhouse as he held the longest drive on the 13th hole for a while. Meyer afterwards said his ball flew like a scud missile past Scott’s ball…. bounced…..then rolled for fourteen meters further.
