AHEERS Arcadia Golf Weekend results

The 5th annual Arcadia Golf weekend held on 9 & 10 March 2019, was well supported by both Greytown and St Cathryns golfers, all helping to support a very deserving cause: Arcadia Home for the Aged. Aheers, our main sponsor, have agreed to sponsor for two years. The weekend will now be known as the AHEERS Arcadia Golf Weekend. Thank you to Arvin Aheer and his team for their involvement. The competition takes place over two days, the first day was played at St Cathryn’s this year and the second day at Greytown. The format is Betterball medal stablefors.
The leaders after day one were Dean & Mary-Anne Brown on 41 points. There was a change this year in that the winners of day 1 and the winners of day 2 both received prizes over and above the overall competition prizes.
Day 2 winners were Andrew Mason & MJ Mook on 45 points.
1st:Dean and Mary Anne on 85 points. They are the winners of the AJ Hill floating trophy for 2019.
2nd: A Mason & MJ Mook – 84 points
3rd: Paul du Preez & Fanie van Wyk – 83 points

Thank you to both St Cathryn’s and Greytown Country Club for their generosity, through the reduction of green fees, and their hospitality over the weekend. Thank you Piet & Wally for the condition of both the courses.

The Farmers Agri-care monthly mug is to be played on Saturday 16 March 2019. Merwin Rabe is making a come back. Mike Harrison is away in America, Look out for Mike at this coming weekends, USA PGA golf tournament at TPC Sawgrass and his son Justin is one of the many greenkeeping staff on duty for the tournament.
